I know that choosing a hairstylist for your extensions and long-term color is truly a relationship that you are about to build. This relationship is one in which you might see me every 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks, or even 10-12+ weeks, and I want you to feel nice and comfy before sitting in my chair.​
That's why I wrote the whole novel below about Samantha Kay Hair and who Sam Kay Paris is as a person. Pour up a glass of wine and get to know me, see if I'm a good fit for you, and reach out with any questions/ to book an appointment!
The Girl Behind the Chair
With nearly a decade of experience in the industry and a major passion for continuing my education and certification profile, my craft has truly been honed in on sewn-in extensions over the last few years. The skill set is one that I find is not educated on quite enough and can yield poor results when not done properly. As an extension girly myself, I know we want to be able to wear our hair and know that it is just an enhancement to our own beauty, and not something that we have to worry about showing, slipping, and causing discomfort. That's why I chose to go full force with my extension education and clientele.
I am passionate about making my guests feel confident that their extensions are completely unseen, perfectly blended with both cut and color, comfortable to wear, and give you the biggest boost of confidence and joy that we all need. I have practiced how to provide this all while making sure you enjoy your experience in the salon-- because as an extension guest, you will be spending a good bit of time with me!

I am also an expert in fully customized lived-in dimensional colors-- whether it's gray blending, blondes, brunettes, or coppers. Every client gets a carefully crafted consultation at every single appointment, where I ask all the right questions to create a look that feels truly like you. From your everyday wear, to your date-night looks, your product choices, and even right down to the time and finances you are wanting to budget toward your hair appointments, I make sure we cover it all and then some! I want you to know beyond a doubt that if I am your stylist, we are going to come up with a game plan for you to feel your absolute best in your hair every day, and we are going to pivot that plan whenever necessary. It truly is your style, your story.
The Girl Behind the Scenes
I have always dreamed of owning a salon and growing a team of passionate creatives who want the best for their careers while servicing the best clients in all of Lynchburg. That dream gets to be a reality every single day at Storybook. (Am I crying???)

I work on Mondays doing all the admin work! From financials, to analytics, marketing, planning, collaborating, team building, you name it! (Don't name maintenance, that's my husband's job).
​
On Fridays and Saturdays I LOVE getting to do wedding hair. Wedding day is something that I am so incredibly passionate about, and being able to dip my toes in the wedding industry by making the bride look the way she's dreamed of looking since she was 12?? Yeah, sign me up!

Here are some things you'll learn about me real quick once you sit in my chair:
1. I think I'm a comedian. idk it's a serious problem I have, but buckle up!
2. My husband and I have the same name! Yep, we're both Sam Paris #SamSquared
3. I am obsessed with Bravo TV. Housewives, Southern Charm, Below Deck, Vanderpump, all of it!
4. I am an avid reader and thrillers/ romcoms are my go to!
5. I have two mini long-haired dachshunds and they're my life.
6. I am always in the middle of a home project and decorating is my hobby!
7. My husband and I love to cook together and I love to bake!
8. I am a runner (not a fast one, you could definitely catch me).
9. I am fueled by coffee and diet coke, and on the weekends you can catch me with a glass of wine at happy hour!
10. In addition to being a licensed cosmetologist, I am a registered nurse and absolutely love it! I plan to add some esthetic offerings to our spa menu in the future using my license.
