Do I need new extensions?

Our extension hair (Chapter I Signature Extensions) typically last 8-11 months with proper care.

It may be time to repalce your hair if you notice:

  • Excessive dryness that doesn't improve with deep conditioning

  • Increased tangling at the ends

  • Thinning or stringy appearance

  • Loss of shine or smoothness

  • Breakage from repeated heat styling or chemical exposure

Not every maintenance appointment requires new hair. We will assess the integrity of your extensions at each visit and help guide you honestly when replacement is necessary.

What affects the lifespan of your investment

The longevity of your extensions is directly influenced by how they are cared for. Key factors include:

  • At-home care (proper brushing, hydration, and protection while sleeping)

  • Heat exposure (temperature and frequency of styling tools)

  • Chemical treatments (lightening the hair)

  • Shade selection (lighter blondes naturally show wear sooner)

  • Regular trims (removing dry ends extends overall lifespan)
