You spend months (sometimes years), planning your wedding day.
You choose the venue, the dress, the flowers, the photographer, the music, and every little detail in between. But there's one part of the wedding day we think deserves a little more attention: the morning of your wedding. At Storybook Salon, we believe your wedding doesn't begin when you walk down the aisle. Your wedding morning is part of your wedding, too.
It's the music playing while you get ready. It's sitting in a room with your closes friends and family. It's the first time you see your hair and makeup come together. It's your family and friends showing raw emotion to seeing you as a bride. It's the photgrapher arriving and capturing those final moments before the dress goes on. And when you look back on your wedding day we want you to remember how you felt during those moments. Not how stressed you were trying to figure out who was supposed to be in the glam chair next.
That's why the Storybook Wedding experience is about so much more than beautiful hair and makeup.
We Bring the Glam, the Energy, and the Organization
Of course, we're there to make you feel beautiful. Our bridal hair and makeup team works with you to create a look that feels like you. Whether that means soft and romantic, effortless and undone, polished and timeless, or full-on glam.
But being talented behind the chair is only part of what makes a great wedding beauty team. The people you choose to spend your wedding morning with become part of the atmosphere in the room. Your hair and makeup team should bring an energy that adds to the experience while also providing the professionalism and organization needed to keep the morning running smoothly. At Storybook Salon, you can count on us to bring all three.
The glam The energy. The organization.
Your Bridal Experience Starts Before the Wedding Day
From the moment you inquire with Storybook Weddings, our goal is to make the process feel easy. After confirming availability and learning initial details of your wedding, you'll have the opportunity to connect with our team for a Bridal Discovery Call.
This isn't just about asking how many people need their services done. We want to understand your vision.
What do you want your wedding morning to feel like? Have you had your hair or makeup professionally done before and loved it (or had an experience where you didn't feel like yourself)? Have you been part of a wedding morning that felt stressful or disorganized? Is there anything you're already worried about?
The more we understand about you, your wedding party, and your vision for the morning, the better we can prepare for your day. Because when your wedding morning arrives, the planning should be complete.
You Shouldn't Have to Coordinate Your Own Hair and Makeup Timeline
One of our biggest priorities at Storybook is taking as much responsibility off the bride as possible. You have enough to think about. You shouldn't be sending texts the night before your wedding reminding everyone when to wash their hair. You shouldn't have to answer five people asking, "Wait, what time am I supposed to get my makeup done?" And you definitely shouldn't be watching the clock all morning wondering whether hair and makeup are running behind or not.
That's our job.
Our bridal parties recieve organized scheduling and preparation information designed to make sure everyone knows what to expect before the wedding morning arrives. We gather information about your party's beauty needs ahead of time, create the schedule, and make sure eveyone knows when they need to be ready for their appointment. You get to be the bride. We'll handle the details.
An Experience Personalized to Your People
No two bridal parties are exactly alike. Maybe your grandmother needs a little extra time getting into the chair. Maybe you have a flower girl who needs to be scheduled at just the right moment. Maybe one bridesmaid has extremely thick hair that requires additional styling time. Those details matter.
By learning about your wedding party before we arrive, we're able to create a beauty experience designed around the actual people we're serving. Not simply assign everyone the same amount of time and hope for the best. It's one more way we work to create a wedding morning that feels organized, relaxed, an personal.
Your Wedding Beauty Doesn't Start on Your Wedding Morning
Another thing that makes the Storybook experience unique is that our brides have an entire salon and beauty team behind them. Preparing for your wedding might include finding the perfect hair color, creating a healthy skincare routine, adding extensions for your dream bridal hairstyle, shaping your brows, planning your spray tan, or simply making sure you feel your absolute best when the day arrives.
Our Lynchburg salon offers hair, extension, and esthetic services that allow our team to help you prepare in the months leading up to your wedding, not just the morning of it. Because sometimes the secret to beautiful wedding-day hair and makeup starts long before we open our kits.
When the Wedding Morning Finally Arrives...
Our goal is simple. We want you to walk into your getting-ready space knowing that we've got this. The timeline is planned. Your party knows where they need to be. Our team knows the vision. The music is playing. The curling irons are hot. And you get to actually experience the morning you've spent so much time looking forward to.
Because someday, your wedding morning will be part of the story you tell about your wedding day. We'd love to be a part of that story. Ready to become a Storybook Bride? Head to www.storybooksalonva.com/bridal or email us at weddings@storybooksalonva.com
